Low literacy and schooling rates are a significant factor among adults in the recent migration towards Europe, including Italy. However, in Italy linguistic research has paid very little attention to the relationship between newcomers’ language learning processes and (low) schooling and literacy. In the article, the author attempts to show the role of andragogical journals in popularizing adult education in the Interwar period. Six Polish journals of nationwide circulation are characterized, as they reflected the socio-ideological profile of the state and the organizations which published them. In their columns, theoretical and methodological studies which facilitated work with adults were presented. Their major task was to support teachers and educators in their school and outside-school work with adult learners. This exploratory mixed data study investigated the role of technology in adult migrant language and late literacy education in Finland. In addition to an online pre-pandemic survey targeted at Finnish language and literacy teachers, four in-service teachers were interviewed during the COVID-19 pandemic in late 2020. With means of qualitative content analysis an account of teachers’ individual experiences and views of technology-equipped language and literacy learning was generated. W okresie PRL-u z inicjatywy PZPR powstało w 1971 r. technikum dla przodujących robotników. Uchwała nr 124 Rady Ministrów z dnia 1 lipca 1971 r. dała robotnikom możliwość zdobycia kwalifikacji zawodowych i uzyskania świadectwa dojrzałości po dwuletnim okresie edukacji. Takich szkół powstało ponad 30 w skali całego kraju. Do placówek tych kierowano wyróżniających się aktywną postawą społeczno-zawodową robotników, absolwentów zasadniczych szkół zawodowych.
